We are looking for a Junior System Administrator for our growing Lviv office. This role will closely cooperate with the team Onsite, as well as the US team, and will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving tech-related issues and ensuring that the technical infrastructure runs smoothly.
The ideal candidate for the position is a talented and motivated Individual with relevant experience or Degree in IT. Problem solver with critical thinking skills.
Summary of essential job functions
- Provide hardware support for Dell and HP servers. This includes checking servers for hardware issues, monitoring warning lights, reviewing alerts, upgrading components, and replacing failed components
- Provide hardware support for desktop systems. This includes checking desktops for performance issues, hardware failures, warning indicators, alerts, upgrading components, and replacing failed components
- Perform account creation, maintenance, and deletion of Office 365 users, groups, distribution lists, and shared mailboxes
- Assist with user access and configuration on companywide applications including OnBase
- Perform account creation, maintenance and deletion of Active Directory users along with permission assignments to file shares and directories
- Diagnose connectivity issues between LVIV and other PLS sites and resources
- Identify and learn software applications used and supported by the organization
- Work on assigned projects, answer relevant open tickets in helpdesk ticketing system (Spiceworks)
- Escalate ticket to high level team as necessary
- Be ready to work out of regular shift to resolve system administration questions which are urgent or cannot be done within working hours in order not to interrupt work processes
- Other duties as required by business needs or as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- Master’s Degree in IT or 1+ year experience in System Administration
- Windows (7, 8, 8.1, 10), Server 2008 R2, 2012 R2
- Microsoft Office365 and Exchange Online
- Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy
- DNS, DHCP, basic knowledge of TCP/IP stack, VLAN, Firewall, ADFS, WSUS
- Remote Desktop / Remote Assistance
- Desktop / Laptop Hardware
- Experience with Linux will be a PLUS
- Knowledge of any script languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python) would be an advantage
- Upper Intermediate English level is a MUST
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical skills
